ENMA Performing on London Fire Brigade 150 Anniversary Celebration Open Day
Summary

London Fire Brigade has proudly served and protected London and its inhabitants for 150 years and we are happy to be celebrating this milestone anniversary in 2016.

Description

Across the capital 65 fire stations will hold open days throughout the year inviting our public to join firefighters and staff in recognition of the important and respected relationship that exists between the fire service and our great capital.

We would like to thank ENMA and the dancers from ENMA for agreeing to perform three Hindu dances at Southgate fire station on Saturday 25 th June 2016, where we will hold a celebratory open day which will take place from 11am to 4pm.  Accompanying us will be local Air, Army and St John’s Ambulance Cadets who will demonstrate their drilling skills. We will be entertained by dancers from a local dance school, and visitors can participate in brigade related games and learn CPR taught by St John’s Ambulance officers. There will be a chance to win fabulous prizes in a raffle and enjoy a range of cultural foods provided by local business. This community based event will highlight the service London Fire Brigade has given to the people of London and serving firefighters will be dressed in a selection of historic fire gear, and there will be a historic fire engine on display. The open days already held in London have been well attended, with hundreds of local residents visiting their local station – the open day in Croydon, for example, was attended by over 3000 people.
